Have u ever tot of how its like living in Ethiopia, Iraq, Sri Lanka etc. I'm sure u have heard abt those places b4. Something which we Singaporeans dun wish to be in. Yet, for some reason there are many singaporeans out there arent being appreciative of wat they are now. They complain that living in Singapore is so stressful, so much tax to pay, so many rules and regulations to follow, have to go through NS n the list goes on. Yes its true about all the taxes n stuff like tt.. Ive shared my pain but hey if u see countries such as Japan, England or even Switzerland, I have to say that we are very fortunate to live in this country. And we ARE already fortunate enough not to live in countries that Ive mentioned above. Of course there are better places to be than Singapore, I cant deny that. But since we are born here why not be proud n happy with it. There's no point complainin, cursing around n give a negative comments. It wont change a thing let me remind you that. Im tryin not to sound as if Im very patriotic or smth like tt...Im not. Our country or should I say Island may be the smallest among others but we are definitely in gd progress in terms of education, social work, living environment, economy, technologies n so forth. Accept n appreciate as of what you are and what you have. Together we make this country a better place. Happy Advanced 40th Brithday To Singapore! =)
