Sometimes all somebody wants is to be left alone. If you leave them be, Let's say for 30 minutes, few hours, even days... They will come back and wants to be with you because you are the one that the person cherish the most. Care enough to give them space they need, and you'll get love from a person in return. Sometimes they just want you in their space, and when you re willing to just stop and be with them, the time that was missed together will be felt greater. A moment of presence is more powerful than hours of impatient half-attention. I reckon that love is a chargeless field, unlimited n infinite. Give them space and you get love. The same as you give love and they you get space. It's a form of value that both will benefit.
